Yogyakarta – The revocation of industrial investment regulations regarding alcoholic beverages listed in the Presidential Decree has become a hot topic of conversation in recent weeks. However, has this revocation show the government’s goodwill in an effort to reduce the circulation of alcohol in the community?
Responding to this, the Office of Business and Investment Affairs (KUBI) UAD collaborated with MEK PWM DIY, JSM, and PPSK (Pusat Pengkajian Strategi dan Kebijakan) to hold a [Forum Saudagar] Strategy and Policy “Miras between Business, Politics, and Religion”. “Thanks to President Joko Widodo for revoking the attachment to Presidential Decree No. 10 of 2021. Although legally this has not been completed, this is the first step in respecting religious knowledge and teachings” said the chairman of PP Muhammadiyah, Dr. Anwar Abbas, M.M., M.Ag. which is connected to the [Forum Saudagar] Miras between Business, Politics and Religion via video conference.

(Tourism Consultant), Ir. Nanung Dono, S.Pt., M.P., Ph, D. (Director of Halal Center, Faculty of Animal Husbandry UGM), Dr. Idul Rishan, S.H., LL.M., (Academician of FH UII), Akhmad Akbar Susanto, S.E., M.phil., Ph.D. (Academician of FEB UGM).
Head of KUBI UAD, Dr. Riduwan, S.E., M.Ag., said that there must be coordination between religious leaders and government. The government must strictly prohibit and religious leaders must educate the public.
